  • Payment Information: Payment card details, billing address, and transaction history. Payment information is processed securely by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc., and we do not store your full card number on our servers.
  • Communications: Messages sent through our contact forms, customer support channels, WhatsApp, or email.
  • User-Generated Content: Reviews, ratings, photos, and comments you post on our platform.
  • AI Interactions: Queries, commands, and conversations with our AI-powered assistants (for both sports fans and venue operators).

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device type, model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, screen resolution, and language settings.
  • Usage Data: Pages and screens visited, features used, time spent, clicks, taps, scroll behavior, search queries, and interaction patterns.
  • Location Data: With your consent, precise or approximate geolocation data from your device to provide relevant venue and event recommendations.
  • Network Information: IP address, browser type and version, ISP, referring/exit URLs, and access timestamps.
  • Push Notification Tokens: If you enable push notifications, we collect device tokens to send you alerts about events, bookings, scores, and updates.
  • App Analytics: Crash reports, performance data, and diagnostic information from our mobile applications.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Social Login Providers: If you sign in using Google, Apple, or Facebook, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture as authorized by you.
  • Venue Partners: Venues may share attendance or booking fulfillment data with us.
  • Sports Data Providers: We receive fixture schedules, scores, team information, and league data from third-party sports data services to power our platform.

  • Process payments — Charge booking service fees securely through Stripe.

4. AI-Powered Features and Automated Decision-Making

Our platform uses artificial intelligence to enhance your experience, including:

  • Smart Search: AI-powered search to find events, venues, and sports content.
  • Recommendations: Personalized event and venue suggestions based on your preferences, location, and past activity.
  • Conversational AI: Chat-based assistants that help sports fans find events, check scores, and make bookings, and that help venue operators manage events, check bookings, and control their venue settings.
  • Content Generation: AI-assisted event descriptions and notifications.

6. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only when necessary for:

  • Stripe, Inc. — Payment processing and fraud prevention.
  • Google LLC — Analytics (Google Analytics), advertising (Google Ads), maps and location services (Google Maps), reCAPTCHA, and fonts.
  • Meta Platforms, Inc. — Facebook Pixel, Instagram integration, and WhatsApp communications.
  • Apple Inc. — Sign in with Apple, Apple Maps, push notifications (APNs), and App Store services.
  • X Corp. — Social media integration and analytics.
  • LinkedIn Corporation — Social media and professional networking integration.
  • YouTube LLC — Embedded video content and analytics.
  • Yelp Inc. — Venue reviews and ratings integration.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. — Content delivery, security, and image hosting.

6.2 Venue Partners

We share your booking details (name, group size, booking reference, and special requests) with the venue where you have made a reservation so they can prepare for your visit. We do not share your payment details with venues.

6.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of STARTIVENT, LLC, our users, or others.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy:

  • Booking data (platform): Booking records on our primary booking platform are anonymized after 30 days from the event date to maintain system performance. This means your name and contact details are removed from the booking system after this period.
  • Operational records: We may retain certain aggregated or de-identified booking and transaction data for business analytics, service improvement, and legal compliance purposes.
  • Payment records: Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full card number. Stripe retains payment records in accordance with their own data retention policies and financial regulations. For details on Stripe's data practices, see Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Account data: For as long as your account is active, plus 3 years after deletion for legal compliance.
  • Usage and analytics data: Up to 26 months.
  • AI interaction logs: Up to 12 months, unless you request earlier deletion.
  • AI training: Your personal data is not used to train our AI models. AI features use your data solely to provide you with the requested service (e.g., finding venues, making recommendations) and do not retain it for model improvement.

Data no longer needed is securely deleted or anonymized. To request deletion of your data, contact us at legal@startivent.com.

8. Data Hosting & Storage

All customer data is hosted in the United States. STARTIVENT, LLC is a U.S.-based company and your data relationship is governed by U.S. law.

8.1 Infrastructure

  • Application servers: Hosted on U.S.-based infrastructure.
  • Email and communications: Managed through Google Workspace (Google LLC, headquartered in the United States). Data is stored across Google's enterprise-grade global infrastructure, which includes multiple data centers within the United States.
  • Payment processing: Handled by Stripe, Inc. (headquartered in San Francisco, USA).

8.2 Security Standards

  • TLS/SSL encryption for all data in transit.
  • AES-256 encryption for data at rest (via Google Workspace).
  • Google Workspace maintains SOC 2, SOC 3, and ISO 27001 certifications.
  • PCI DSS-compliant payment processing through Stripe.

8.3 International Users

If you access our services from outside the United States (including the UK and EU), your data will be transferred to and stored in the United States. By using our services, you consent to this transfer. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and EU GDPR where applicable.

9. Your Rights

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to use strong passwords and protect your account credentials.

11. Mobile Applications

Our iOS and Android mobile applications may collect additional data as described in Section 2, including:

  • Push notification tokens to send you event alerts and score updates.
  • Device identifiers for analytics and crash reporting.
  • Camera and photo library access (with your permission) for uploading reviews and profile photos.
