Bookings Policy

1. Introduction

This Bookings Policy sets out the terms and conditions that apply when you make a reservation through Sports Bar AI ("we," "our," "us"). Our platform connects sports fans with bars, pubs, restaurants, and venues that broadcast live sports events.

By making a booking through our websites, mobile applications (iOS and Android), or AI-powered assistants, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

2. How Our Platform Works

Sports Bar AI is a booking service platform that enables you to reserve tables, seating, or entry at participating venues for live sports events. Key points:

  • We act as an intermediary between you and the venue. We do not own, manage, or operate any venues listed on our platform.
  • The booking service fee you pay goes directly to STARTIVENT, LLC for platform management, booking coordination, and customer support. This fee does not go to the venue.
  • Your experience at the venue — including food, drinks, service quality, and facilities — is the sole responsibility of the venue.

3. Booking Process

3.1 Making a Booking

  • You can book through our website, mobile apps, or AI-powered assistants.
  • You may be required to provide personal details such as your name, email address, phone number, and payment information.
  • Some bookings include assigned seating, while others are for general admission. For non-seated events, seating is available on a first-arrival basis — this will always be specified during the booking process.

3.2 Booking Confirmation

  • Bookings are confirmed once payment has been successfully processed via Stripe.
  • A booking confirmation will be sent to the email address you provided, and (if you have our mobile app installed) via push notification.
  • Please check your spam or junk folder if you do not receive the confirmation within a few minutes.

3.3 Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods through our secure payment processor, Stripe:

  • Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
  • Other payment methods supported by Stripe in your region

All payments are processed in the currency displayed at the time of booking.

4. Booking Service Fees

  • The payment you make is a service fee for managing and processing your booking through our platform.
  • This service fee is not a deposit and does not count toward food, drinks, or any purchases at the venue.
  • The fee amount is always displayed clearly before you confirm your booking.
  • Service fees cover: booking management, venue coordination, seating arrangements (if applicable), AI-powered event discovery, push notifications and reminders, and customer support.
  • All service fees are non-refundable, except where stated in Section 6 of this policy.
  • Payments are securely processed by Stripe, Inc. and are PCI DSS compliant.

5. Arrival and Check-In

  • Verify the venue address before attending your event. You can find directions through our website, mobile app, or the links provided in your booking confirmation.
  • Upon arrival, present your booking confirmation (digital or printed) with your booking reference to venue staff.
  • Reservations are valid only for the specified start and end times of the event.
  • If you arrive late, your reservation will be held for a maximum of 15 minutes before being released without refund.
  • If you cannot arrive on time, contact us in advance to avoid losing your reservation.

6. Cancellations and Modifications

6.1 Customer Cancellations

  • Cancellations made at least 30 days before the event date are eligible for a full refund of the service fee.
  • Cancellations made less than 30 days before the event are not eligible for a refund.
  • The 14-day consumer withdrawal period does not apply to bookings for leisure or event services scheduled for a specific date or period, as permitted under applicable U.S., UK, and EU consumer protection laws.

6.2 Modifications

  • Changes to bookings (such as number of guests, table preference, or event time) are subject to our approval and availability.
  • To request a modification, contact us at legal@startivent.com or use the booking management feature in our mobile app.
  • Modifications may result in a price difference if the service fee for the updated booking is different.

6.3 Booking Integrity

To prevent blocking available seating for other guests, all desired seats at the same table must be booked in a single reservation. Bookings that split seats across multiple reservations in a way that leaves remaining seats unsellable may be automatically cancelled without prior notice.

6.4 Cancellations by Us or the Venue

  • We or the venue may cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances, including force majeure events (natural disasters, extreme weather, public safety measures, strikes), venue closure, or event cancellation.
  • If we cancel your booking, you will receive a full refund of the service fee.
  • If no reservations are registered for an event, the live broadcast may be cancelled and the venue may be closed.

7. No-Show Policy

  • A no-show occurs when you do not attend the booked event and have not informed us in advance.
  • No-shows result in the full loss of the service fee with no possibility of refund or credit.
  • Customers who repeatedly fail to attend booked events without notice may have their account suspended or permanently restricted from making future bookings.
  • To avoid being marked as a no-show, contact us before the event start time to inform us of any delays or cancellations.

8. Venue Rules and Special Conditions

  • Some venues are bars or pubs that may have age restrictions (typically 18+). Other venues are restaurants that welcome guests of all ages. Age requirements will be indicated in the event details where applicable.
  • Each venue may have its own rules regarding dress code, conduct, and house policies.
  • Venues reserve the right to refuse entry or service if you fail to comply with their policies.
  • Sports Bar AI is not responsible for venue service quality, menu items, pricing, or facilities.

9. Special Events

  • Special events — such as championship games, finals, playoffs, World Cup matches, Super Bowl, or other major tournaments — may be subject to different terms, including:

  • Higher service fees.

  • Earlier booking deadlines.

  • Stricter cancellation policies.

  • Different seating arrangements (assigned vs. first-come, first-served).

  • Any special conditions will be clearly displayed during the booking process and will form part of your agreement when you confirm your reservation.

10. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds are processed through the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
  • Refund requests should be directed to legal@startivent.com with your booking reference number.
  • Partial refunds may be offered at our discretion for certain situations not covered elsewhere in this policy.

11. Liability

  • Sports Bar AI acts solely as a booking intermediary between you and the venue.

  • Our responsibility is limited to accurately processing your booking and transmitting the reservation details to the venue.

  • We are not liable for:

  • Service quality, menu items, pricing, or seating arrangements at the venue.

  • Changes, delays, or cancellations caused by the venue, technical issues, or force majeure events.

  • Personal injury, property damage, or loss occurring at the venue.

  • Content or services provided by third parties linked from our platform.

  • Any issues experienced during your visit should be addressed directly with venue management, although we will assist where possible to resolve disputes in good faith.

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the service fee paid for the specific booking in question.

12. Dispute Resolution

If you have a complaint about a booking:

  • Contact us first at legal@startivent.com with your booking reference.
  • We will investigate and respond within 14 business days.
  • If the dispute is not resolved to your satisfaction, U.S. residents may pursue remedies under applicable state consumer protection laws. UK and EU residents may use the applicable dispute resolution mechanisms available in their jurisdiction.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Bookings Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through our website and mobile apps. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates the most recent revision.

14. Your Booking Data

  • Anonymization: Booking records on our platform are anonymized after 30 days from the event date. Your name and contact details are removed from the active booking system.
  • Operational records: We may retain certain aggregated or de-identified booking data for business analytics, service improvement, and legal compliance purposes.
  • Payment records: All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full card number. For payment data inquiries, please refer to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Data hosting: All booking data is hosted in the United States.

To request deletion of your booking data, contact us at legal@startivent.com with your booking reference.
